What to expect…

Dear Jean,

Thank you for choosing Mason & Son Roofing Company Limited.

This guide has been prepared especially for you and accompanies quotation QU-0086, for the total quoted price of £9,420.00. It explains what will happen before, during and after the roofing work, including the planned dates, scaffolding, deliveries and what you can expect from us each day.

We understand that having work carried out on your home can feel a little daunting, so we want everything to be clear and straightforward. Daniel will be your main point of contact throughout the project and will keep you updated at every stage. If you are ever unsure about anything, please ask—we will always be happy to explain it.

Your Roofing Roadmap

Think of this as your project’s “save the date” — a clear picture of the key steps and when they’ll happen.

Thursday 29 October

Scaffolding construction day, fully erected to BS EN 12811 standards for your safety and peace of mind by Shire Scaffolding Limited.

Dismantlement of scaffold TBD but standard scaffold hire is up to 1 month. This will be discussed and scheduled upon completion of project/s.

*Please note there will be a 10 board platform at the rear to safely store solar panels.

Friday 30 October

Skip delivery. The skip will be positioned suitably in close proximity to scaffolding in order for efficiency of waste disposal.

Monday 2 November

Project works to begin inc material delivery.

While we strive to stick to the agreed schedule for your roofing project, please understand that factors like weather and concurrent projects may lead to necessary changes. We appreciate your patience, and we will keep you informed throughout the process.

Between the hours of 7:30-3:00pm (hours may vary).

Daniel Mason

I live in Canley, Coventry with my wife, two daughters and two cats.

I hold a BSc degree in Sports & Exercise Sciences completed in Liverpool, and an MSc degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation completed in Lund, Sweden where I lived for one year. I also hold various qualifications in project management relative to construction.

My father began roofing in 1979 and I stepped onto the roof at the tender age of 16.

My main hobbies outside of roofing are bike packing, reading and illustrating.

Ashley Hensey

Meet Ashley…

I have worked within the roofing industry for over 20 years and am proud to be a third-generation roofer, following in the footsteps of both my father and grandfather. Throughout my career, I have completed a wide range of roofing projects, including listed and heritage buildings, churches, modern new-build developments, complete residential re-roofs, flat roofing systems and specialist roof repairs.

I take great pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring every customer is kept informed throughout every stage of their project. My aim is to provide honest advice, exceptional workmanship and complete customer satisfaction on every project we undertake.

Things I would like to know if somebody was working on my house

- We will normally arrive at approximately 7:30am and will avoid using loud power tools before 8:00am.

- There will be general construction noise during the project, including the use of power tools. - Two work vans will usually be parked close to the property. We will introduce everyone working at the property, and Daniel will remain your main point of contact throughout. - You do not need to remain at home while we work, and we will not require access inside the house unless this has been agreed with you beforehand. - We will keep paths, entrances and doorways as clear and safe as reasonably possible. Please speak to us before walking through any area where work is taking place. - Your roof will be left secure and weatherproof at the end of each working day. - We will provide regular updates and let you know before leaving each day, including what has been completed and when we expect to return. - All project-related waste will be removed by Mason & Son Roofing Company Limited, and the working area will be cleaned when the project is complete. - You are not expected to provide refreshments for us—although access to an electrical socket and an outside water supply would be appreciated. - If you feel uncertain or need anything explained at any stage, please speak to Daniel. We are always happy to take the time to talk everything through.

Additional Requirements

We would appreciate access to:

- driveway clear to avoid any car damage should small debris fall

- electrical power point usage

- access to water point

Weather and Scheduling

As always with roof works, we are at the mercy of the weather. Should anything change, I will contact you as soon as I can realistically predict the working schedule will change. If the schedule does change, I will ensure the works are completed within the next workable weather window.

Payment

Invoice will be sent upon completion of works and your complete satisfaction and payment is appreciated upon receipt of this via bank transfer. The details will be at the bottom of the invoice.
